The Alliance of California Traditional Arts (ACTA), California’s leading advocate for the folk and traditional arts, announces three job openings.

A statewide nonprofit dedicated to cultural equity and cultural sustainability, ACTA is headquartered in Fresno with field offices and staff around the state.

In San Francisco, the position of Program Manager/Northern California is now open with the transition of the beloved Lily Kharrazi who has championed heritage-based art making in the Bay Area for more than three decades, the last 14 years at ACTA where she was the face of its distinguished Living Cultures Program. She considers her position “a plum job” and a unique opportunity to interface with the vibrant Bay Area/California cultural community.

Two positions are open in the Los Angeles field office. Sonia Narang, our Digital Media Specialist (a half-time position), is leaving for a full-time job in international journalism. In her short tenure she has made significant contributions and shown us the value of journalist skills in this position. The second Los Angeles-based job opening is a new Program Coordinator position assisting in the implementation of ACTA’s Southern California programs.

Please see our Jobs page for full job descriptions and instructions on how to apply for the following positions:
