A showcase of ethnic dance pieces representing six countries, Japan – Marimo-kai, Cambodia - Apsara Royal of San Jose, India – Prasad Bhandarkar, Indonesia – Harsanari, Korea - Hearan Chung, Philippines – Parangal Dance Company, Kawayan Folk Arts and LIKHA-Pilipino Folk Ensemble and features San Francisco's Gay Asian Pacific Alliance Mens Chorus.

Together the groups will present two hours of music and dance, celebrating Asian heritage and culture passed down through many generations. Funded in part by Zellerbach Family Foundation, William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, and The Alliance for California Traditional Arts, in partnership with Walter & Elise Haas Fund, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation and The Metabolic Studio, a direct charitable activity of the Annenberg Foundation.

Asia On Stage is a chance to witness the richness of culture that crosses the continent and indeed the world, coupled with beautiful authentic costumes and live musical performances.
