Students must master several types of calligraphy before they can learn to carve seals. Tae Sun Hwang perfects the calligraphy that she is preparing on the stone's surface. Even when someone is able to carve better in the stone, that's not the factor. The essential one is how we make the best calligraphy writing on the stone.Dr. Kim |

Because the calligraphy is traced in reverse on the surface of the stone, the carver uses a small mirror to check the accuracy and aesthetic of the design. Seeing this through the mirror, it makes it clear what the result on paper will be.Dr. Kim
