Organization Description:
An independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities.
The National Endowment for the Humanities administers a variety of grant programs that may be of interest to the folk & traditional arts field, including Documenting Endangered Languages and Preservation Assistance for Smaller Institutions.
NOTE: The University of Arizona's has published a manual to assist Indigenous community members with the construction and submission of grants for Documenting Endangered Languages, which is available for download.
