The NALAC Fund for the Arts is a field-advised grant program designed to help Latinos develop their creative talents and make lasting contributions to our communities and society as a whole. Launched in 2005 by the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) with major support from the Ford Foundation, the NALAC Fund for the Arts provides financial resources to strengthen Latino arts organizations and to support Latino artists in the creation of their work. The aim of the program is to: * Sustain the creation and presentation of works by Latino independent artists and ensembles. * Provide operating support to help build the internal capacity of small to mid-sized Latino arts organizations. * Support the creative expression of projects that exhibit a high level of artistic excellence. * Strengthen communities by investing in the cultural assets and human and social capital of Latinos in the U.S. For more informaiton, including guidelines and application instructions, visit NALAC's website. |
