Dori Caymmi is the son of Dorival Caymmi, who was once called Brazil's greatest living composer by Tom Jobim. Dori has continued the family tradition of vivid songwriting. A gifted guitarist and vocalist, Dori is also well known throughout the USA for his extensive work as a producer and arranger. On his two internationally released albums, he alternates between English and Portuguese, with songs drawn from his own canon and those of his father. He also joined by his father and sister, singer Nana Caymmi for a 1986 release on which the family covered each other's songs in solo and duet format. Dori¹s 1999 release "Romantic vision" was nominated for a Grammy as Best Arranger for Henry Mancini's "Pink Panther."
