Dancers’ Group and CounterPULSE see this as an opportunity to advance Bay Area discussion of the craft of performance. Performances take place at CounterPULSE on the second Sunday of each month at 2:00 p.m. During the first half of the program, 2-4 performers present roughly 10 minutes of work. The second half of the program consists of a lively and in-depth conversation between the presenters, the artists, and the audience about the work. This program is an ideal opportunity for artists to gain useful feedback about works-in-progress, or to re-visit and delve deeper into completed work. Artists/companies have the opportunity to perform one piece of up to 10 minutes in length on one of the three scheduled 2nd Sundays programs. Each program is presented in a bare studio setting. The focus is on the work, not on theatrical presentation (i.e.no tech available). Artists are responsible for attending one initial orientation meeting, providing promotional images, and assisting in spreading the word about the event. A small honorarium of $100 is available to each group. To apply send the following information (in one page or less) to kegan@dancersgroup.org by November 1st:
