ADVOCACYAction Alert - June 3, 2004The Members of the Joint Budget Conference committee have officially been appointed and began deliberations yesterday (June 2). The budget timeline is very tight with passage slated by June 15. (Which means the Conference committee will have to finish its work by about June 11 to meet the deadline.) TAKE ACTION: Please fax the legislators below ASAP. Urge them to vote for the Assembly Budget sub-committee #4's recommendation to augment the California Arts Council (Item 8260) budget by $10 million (for a total general fund budget of $11.075 million).
